Oh and it’s every bit as amazing as it promised. Coral coloured fine kid mohair to die for. Yellows jostling like daffodils and narcissi from a mixed bag o’ bulbs, pleading to be whipped up into a sunshine blanket. I’ll try to get some photos with the new camera. In the meantime I knit on with my red sock and my Vivian Hoxbro modular wrap.

Yes it was. We mooched and window shopped and inadvertantly bought some yummy shoes, and dined and wined and wined and dined and enjoyed the Royal Crescent and are definitely going back there. Porters was fab, Demuth food was too busy and flavors fought each other, the Walruss was lovely and The Royal Crescent risotto was amazing…
I think Joolz enjoyed her birthday 🙂
Other news… I am off to Bath with Joolz for a birthday weekend. Joolz’ birthday weekend… in fact, I am informed that it is an Extended May Bank Holiday Birthday Weekend. Must get chocolates. The first couple of nights we are at a rather nice country house just outside Bath; gardens, walks in the rain etc, then on to the Royal Crescent. Must get flowers delivered. And I’ve just tried to get a table at the Moon and Sixpence… or is it the Half Moon and Sixpence… or the Cow and the Moon… and Sixpence… ? It’s on Broad Street, anyway, and I seem to remember it was very very yummy. But, I’ve digressed, the Moon’s closed for refurbishment. Demuths maybe? Tilley’s? Walrus and Carpenter? The Porter?
I’ll let you know how it goes.
Oh joy, have just made another health-enhancing yarn purchase at the wonder ful Dye Studio. They hang out in Suffolk but you can find them here Dye Studio . I’ve splurged on their beautiful cobweb kid mohair lace in the most luscious coral. Enough for a large shawl. And some more yellow fourplies – or fingering – for a yellow squares blanket. The kid mohair is on sale reduced from £8-50 to £5-99, so how can a girl resist? And why should she, indeed?
